Mizoram is preparing for a major energy milestone with domestic piped natural gas (PNG) expected to reach households by early 2028. Indradhanush Gas Grid Limited (IGGL) is developing a 119.45-km pipeline from Panisagar in northern Tripura to Aizawl, built at an estimated cost of ₹491 crore. Phase one will bring clean, continuous cooking gas directly to homes across the Mamit and Aizawl districts, marking a pivotal step in strengthening the Northeast’s energy infrastructure.
